Our Tint Shades

New cars come with factory glass of between 80% and 85% visible light transmission (VLT). The glass tint shades we offer are listed below, by VLT percentage.

  • Impossible to see through. Only used when complete privacy is the priority, like the back windows of a limo.

  • When 20% is not quite dark enough, customers like having this option.

  • Windows with this shade are often called, “blacked out.” A popular choice for sports car enthusiasts and private car services.

  • This is the industry’s most popular choice among cusumers. It gives you privacy and deep rich color, but it’s easy to see through. Drivers love this shade’s stylish and sleek aesthetic.

  • These are your best choices when optical clarity is the priority. Ceramic film in 50% and 75% will still block heat while providing excellent visibility. Popular for windshields.

Terminology We USE

VLT %:
VLT stands for Visible Light Transmission. This represents the amount of visible light that gets in through either the film or both the film and window combined. A lower VLT% (eg. 20%) means the darker the tint will be, and a higher % (eg. 50%) means the tint shade will be lighter.

The tint shade must not exceed (be darker than) the VLT % listed in the state tint law chart.

Windshield AS-1 Line:
The ‘AS-1 Line’ is 4 – 6 inches from the top of the windshield. This area is sometimes referred to as the “sun shade strip.”
